1. What is the age limit for NOISE? NOISE is designed for young emerging artists, however there is no specific age restriction.
2. What happens to my work once it has been submitted? All works submitted to NOISE in the correct formats are automatically published. If your work is then identified by a NOISE editor as a candidate for our Feature Work, as part of a Curation or for a special project, we will contact you via phone or email – so it's really important that you keep your details up to date.
3. When is NOISE open for submissions? NOISE is always open and always looking for more artists and more works.
4. Why should I submit my work to NOISE? Your NOISE profile is a great way for you to showcase your work to industry professionals, other artists, and art appreciators from all over the world. It's also a great way to meet other artists, share ideas, and belong to an online community of creative people. Use your unique Noise URL and artist homepage as your online portfolio, and direct potential clients, employers or curators to your profile page to see your work.
5. Does it matter where I live? NOISE is open to young creatives from all over the world, so no matter where you're from we want to see your work.
6. What's the deal with copyright? For all NOISE activities the copyright of the work remains with the person or persons who created it. When you register online for NOISE, you are giving your permission for NOISE to use your work in the context of NOISE, including marketing and reporting purposes.
7. Why isn't my work published? All work on NOISE is automatically published. If you're having problems getting your work published, check that the size and format of your work is one of the accepted NOISE formats. If you're still having problems, email info@noise.net.
8. How many works can I submit? You can submit as many works as you like.
9. What's the difference between NOISE and SOYA? NOISE is the general umbrella which covers several project areas, including the Spirit of Youth Awards (SOYA). Every Australian NOISE artist, aged 25 and under, who registers and submits work by the closing date of SOYA each year, will be eligible for the awards.
10. Can I edit my online profile? Yes. Just go to the website, log in, go to MEMBERS and EDIT PROFILE. Regardless of whether your profile is published or not, you can edit it.
11. I'm having trouble viewing the page/downloading pdfs/accessing info about NOISE. Can you help? If you're having technical problems, go to the online forums at the NOISE website and see if anyone else has encountered your problem and has a solution. If you're still stuck, email info@noise.net and we'll see if we can help. 12. I'm having problems with my profile, what should I do? If you're having problems registering or submitting works, please email info@noise.net. If you're having problems with your published works, please try deleting your works and resubmitting before contacting info@noise.net
13. How do I find out more? If you can't find your answers here or on the forums, please call the NOISE infoline on 1800 080 826 or alternatively email info@noise.net.
14. How do I get my work considered for a NOISE curation? When uploading or editing a work you will be given the option to add your work to one or more curations. The relevant curator will review all work submitted prior to the publication of the curation. You will be informed via email if your work has been added to curation. |
